start menu does not working

sir wny my start menu does not working its just you push it just not opening. help please.. thank you..

my laptop is toshiba satellite core i5 400gb/500gb hdd...can you help me with this sir... yes the apps on the start.. thanyou

What is your screen resolution? But other programs is opening right? ( Like MS Word for example.)

yes the start menu like photos, travel, music an all the apps there....
