Still unable to activate sir, it's not that easy to activate core edition unlike RTM Pro edition which is easy to activate, just like our user milanesia , he just decided to use win 8 Pro RTM , if you will back read on page 29, and we successfully activated it.
But we could still try some more product key, just make sure you are using UK as nearest location.
Here is a list of key for Core Edition . Try some one of these retail key.

Oh.. don't use that key. It's blocked already, see the screenshot. [below]

We don't have a MAK key for Core Edition right now, so we are using the retail key, so it's difficult to find a compatible retail key for you. But that keys are valid, I checked it with PID.

If your confirmation ID not verified or unable to activate
use this way :
1. open cmd using administrator rights
2. type slmgr /upk
3. type slmgr /cpky
4. typy slmgr /ipk (key)
5. type slui.exe 4
6. choose United Kingdom and click next button
7. post your groups of number here
Don't post your key clearly

Huh? You used the key I post? But I just activated my windows 8 pro with WMC using that keys?
You sure you used United Kingdom? And when the operator or the woman in Activation when calling Microsoft asked if Home user [ 1 ] or Business Costumer with Volume License [ 2 ] .Be sure to press 1 if you used a Retail Key and press 2 if you used MAK Key. [ It also affects the activation. ]
